Prior to the appointment as Consul General of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in San Francisco and Executive Director of Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office San Francisco, Daniel Da Cruz was Director general for Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion at the Ministry of the Economy (2016-2021).

A career diplomat, Daniel Da Cruz was Deputy Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations in Geneva (2011-2016) and Deputy Head of Mission in Lisbon (2004- 2005).

From 2006 to 2010, he held various positions at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg.

Daniel Da Cruz has a Master’s degree in Law and a Bachelor in Journalism and Communication.
